Angle of the North
£500.00

This one came from that feeling of driving past and catching the Angel in the distance. It’s not really about the structure itself, more the moment and the landscape around it.
The land does most of the work, long, loose strokes pulling everything forward and giving it that sense of movement. There’s a hint of a path running through it, but nothing fixed. Just something to follow.
The sky’s kept soft and open to balance it out, with the light sitting low on the horizon.
The Angel is pushed back and kept simple. It’s there, but not the focus, more of a marker in the distance, something constant as everything else moves around it.
It’s really about passing through a place rather than standing still in it – much like the Angel of the North itself, always there, quietly witnessing everything that moves past it.
